DiveEmAll Terms of Use
Last updated: October 23, 2026
These are the rules for using DiveEmAll. By creating an account or using the app you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app. How we handle your data is explained in our Privacy Policy: https://diveemall-5c982.web.app/privacy
Who can use DiveEmAll
- You must be at least 13. If you are under the age of adulthood where you live, use the app only with a parent or guardian's permission.
- Keep your sign-in secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
Your content
- You keep ownership of the photos and information you add ("your content").
- You give us permission to store it, process it (including sending photos to an AI service to suggest a species), and show it to other people the way you choose with the visibility settings: Everyone, Friends or Only me. Content set to Everyone can appear in rankings, on species and dive site pages, in the Community feed and in features such as Find of the week on the Home screen.
- This permission lasts while your content is in the app. It ends when you delete the content or your account. The one exception is records already shared in anonymous form with public research databases (species, dive site and date, with no name or photo), which cannot be pulled back.
- Only add photos you took yourself or have the right to share. Do not add photos that show identifiable people without their permission.
What is not allowed
- Anything illegal, sexual, violent, hateful, harassing or threatening, or anything that targets or exposes a private person.
- Photos that are not of the creature you name, or that you did not take, added to gain points or rank. No cheating, fake accounts, impersonation or spam.
- Scraping the app, using automated tools to access it, or interfering with how it works for others.
- Harming wildlife or habitat for a photo: touching, chasing, feeding, handling, collecting or disturbing animals, or damaging reefs. Follow local laws and dive site rules, including those for protected species and marine reserves.
Reporting and removal
- You can report a photo or a diver in the app, and block any diver to hide what they post.
- There is no place here for objectionable content or abusive behavior. We review reports and aim to act on them within 24 hours.
- We may remove content, hide it from the community, and suspend or close accounts that break these rules, without notice where needed.
Species suggestions and safety
- Species names come from an AI and can be wrong. Check them against what you saw. Never rely on them for safety decisions such as touching, handling or eating an animal, or judging whether it is dangerous.
- DiveEmAll is a game and a logbook. It is not a dive planning tool and gives no dive safety advice. Diving has real risks: dive within your training and never let the app distract you while you dive.
Points, rankings and changes to the app
- Points, ranks, badges and rankings have no cash value. We may change how scoring works, correct mistakes, adjust or reset rankings, and add or remove features at any time. The app is still being developed and may have bugs.
Plans and subscriptions
- DiveEmAll has a Free plan and two optional paid plans, Plus and Pro. The plans differ in how many AI species identifications you get each week and which AI model makes them. Choosing the species yourself, your DiveBook, the rankings and friends are free on every plan.
- Plus and Pro are monthly subscriptions bought through the Apple App Store. The price and what each plan includes are shown in the app before you buy.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically each month unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your Apple ID is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before it ends.
- You can manage or cancel in Settings on your iPhone, under your name and then Subscriptions. After you cancel, your plan stays until the end of the month you paid for, then returns to Free.
- Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us: request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription, so cancel first.
- A subscription is linked to the DiveEmAll account that bought it. If you delete that account, a new account cannot take over the old subscription.
- We may change plans, limits and prices. A price change for an existing subscription follows Apple's rules, including asking for your consent where Apple requires it.
Ending your account
- You can delete your account at any time in the app: Profile, then Account, then Delete account.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.
No warranty
- DiveEmAll is provided "as is" and "as available", without promises that it will always work, be error-free, or that species suggestions, rankings or other information are accurate.
- To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, or for any injury or loss that results from relying on the app, including any dive or wildlife encounter. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have by law that cannot be waived.
Apple
- These terms are between you and DiveEmAll, not Apple. Apple has no duty to provide support or maintenance for the app, and is not responsible for claims about it.
- If you got the app from the Apple App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, and Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and for important changes we will tell you in the app. Continuing to use DiveEmAll after a change means you accept it.
